About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Director of Nature-Based Solutions to join our team, responsible for:
- Team Management (Team of approx. 25 people)
- Annual division budget and monitoring of deadlines
- Participation in business strategy to improve and deliver highest quality consulting services and products
- Growing new service lines/possibly developing new methodologies in Natural Climate Solutions
- Strategic support to structure the project pipeline and to cover the client's demand of carbon credits
- Support in project proposals/providing technical feedback
- Drive new joint ventures in Africa / South East Asia and strengthen the business in Latin America
- Represent FL in different forums and corporate events
- Gathering intelligence about market trends, relevant regulation and policies
- Responsibility for short-, mid- and long-term Carbon Inventory management
- Develop a portfolio of carbon forestry projects
About You
We are looking for a candidate with:
- University degree in economics, resource management, forestry, agriculture or related field
- Background in the investment world
- At least 10 years of experience in managing international teams
- At least 8 years of professional experience in sustainable land use and carbon markets
- Proven experience of simultaneous management of different projects in an international team
- Experience in the preparation of business and financial plans for natural carbon projects or similar (e.g. renewable energy)
- Fluent in English. Fluency in Spanish or French, additional languages are an advantage
- Willingness to travel
- Professional experience in Latin America, Africa or South-East Asia is an advantage
