Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Director of Nature-Based Solutions to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing a team of approximately 25 people, overseeing the annual division budget, and monitoring deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Management: Lead and manage a team of approximately 25 people, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
- Financial Management: Oversee the annual division budget, ensuring effective financial management and monitoring of deadlines.
- Business Strategy: Participate in the development of business strategies to improve and deliver high-quality consulting services and products.
- Service Line Development: Grow new service lines and develop new methodologies in Natural Climate Solutions.
- Project Pipeline Management: Support the structuring of the project pipeline and ensure coverage of client demand for carbon credits.
- Project Proposals: Support in the preparation of project proposals and provide technical feedback.
- Business Development: Drive new joint ventures in Africa, South East Asia, and strengthen the business in Latin America.
- Representation: Represent FORLIANCE in various forums and corporate events.
- Market Intelligence: Gather intelligence on market trends, relevant regulations, and policies.
- Carbon Inventory Management: Oversee short-, mid-, and long-term Carbon Inventory management.
- Portfolio Development: Develop a portfolio of carbon forestry projects.
Requirements
- University degree in economics, resource management, forestry, agriculture, or a related field.
- Background in the investment world.
- At least 10 years of experience in managing international teams.
- At least 8 years of professional experience in sustainable land use and carbon markets.
- Proven experience in simultaneous management of different projects in an international team.
- Experience in preparing business and financial plans for natural carbon projects or similar.
- Fluent in English. Fluency in Spanish or French, additional languages are an advantage.
- Willingness to travel.
- Professional experience in Latin America, Africa, or South-East Asia is an advantage.
