Carbon Methodology Expert

FORLIANCE is a leading organization in nature-based climate projects, working with clients to achieve their Net Zero Carbon targets. Our team of experts strives to create intact forests and ecosystems that positively impact our climate, biodiversity, and human well-being.

We are seeking a Carbon Methodology Expert to join our team and contribute to the development of carbon certification methodologies in the fields of agricultural land management, forest management, and peatland restoration.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop technical scoping papers for certification methodologies
  • Design and implement certification methodologies for agricultural land management, forest management, and peatland restoration
  • Manage working group sessions with international experts
  • Coordinate public consultations and evaluate their outcomes
  • Conduct expert interviews, prepare surveys, and conduct independent desk research
  • Prepare and submit reports and documentation

Your Ideal Profile

  • Knowledge of environmental and climate impacts of land use activities
  • Expertise in the voluntary and regulatory carbon market
  • Proven experience in carbon farming methodology development
  • Relevant higher education degree
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience
  • Fluency in English (C1 level)
  • Experience working in international multi-stakeholder environments
  • Independent work style and excellent communication skills
