Senior Director of Nature-Based Solutions

FORLIANCE is a pioneering organization that spearheads the development of nature-based climate projects. We collaborate with clients to integrate these projects into their sustainability strategies, driving them towards Net Zero Carbon targets. Our global network and 55+ team members across ten countries work together to create intact forests and ecosystems that positively impact the climate, biodiversity, and human well-being.
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Director Nature-Based Solutions to lead our team of approximately 25 professionals. Key responsibilities include:
- Team Management
- Annual division budget management and deadline monitoring
- Participation in business strategy to enhance consulting services and products
- Development of new service lines and methodologies in Natural Climate Solutions
- Strategic support for project pipeline management and client demand for carbon credits
- Project proposal development and technical feedback
- Driving new joint ventures in Africa, South East Asia, and strengthening the business in Latin America
- Representing FORLIANCE in various forums and corporate events
- Gathering market intelligence on trends, regulations, and policies
- Carbon Inventory management
- Developing a portfolio of carbon forestry projects
About You
- University degree in economics, resource management, forestry, agriculture, or related field
- Background in the investment world
- At least 10 years of experience in managing international teams
- At least 8 years of professional experience in sustainable land use and carbon markets
- Proven experience in managing multiple projects in an international team
- Experience in preparing business and financial plans for natural carbon projects or similar
- Fluency in English; fluency in Spanish or French, additional languages an advantage
- Willingness to travel
- Professional experience in Latin America, Africa, or South-East Asia an advantage
