Job Title: Senior Software Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to join our team at Bosch Building Technologies. As a key member of our international team, you will be responsible for designing, extending, and implementing the Video Streaming Gateway (VSG) and evaluating the impact of new features on the VSG.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement the VSG, ensuring seamless integration with other software components in the BVMS system.
  • Evaluate the impact of new features on the VSG and identify dependencies with other software components.
  • Develop and maintain the CI/CD pipeline in Azure DevOps, focusing on quality assurance and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the team to introduce quality assurance concepts and ensure compliance with the VMS programme requirements.
  • Analyze and resolve errors throughout the development process, including bug fixing and customer problem-solving.
  • Implement new features, subject to code review by another developer, and present larger features to the team, including architecture and dependencies.
  • Act as a contact person for technical questions from various stakeholders, including POs of other teams and CCB participants.
Requirements:
  • Completed university studies in computer science, computer engineering, or a comparable subject.
  • Many years of professional experience in software development, with a strong background in C++ and agile development methods.
  • Sound knowledge of software design and architecture, including OOP concepts, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
  • Experience with server/client architectures, distributed systems, web services, and API integrations.
  • Knowledge of network protocols, video over IP, video streaming, and the ONVIF standard.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with German and/or Portuguese being an advantage.
