Key Responsibilities

Vision and Strategy Formulation:

  • Establish the long-term vision and strategic direction for Smatched, ensuring alignment with market demands and the company's core mission.
  • Innovate and design new functionalities for the microtransaction system that boosts user engagement and revenue streams.

Market Insight and Evaluation:

  • Continuously assess market dynamics, customer insights, and competitive positioning to refine and adapt the product strategy.
  • Identify fresh avenues for growth and market expansion across diverse demographics.

Oversight of Product Development:

  • Lead the product development team, offering guidance and direction in the enhancement of Smatched's microtransaction platform.
  • Ensure the product adheres to high standards of quality, usability, and dependability.

User Experience and Interaction:

  • Prioritize the enhancement of user experience, particularly in streamlining the microtransaction process.
  • Refine the Smatched lottery feature to optimize user retention and satisfaction.

Collaboration and Team Leadership:

  • Work closely with other departments, such as marketing, sales, and customer support, to ensure a unified approach to product development and user experience.
  • Mentor and cultivate a high-performing product team.

Data-Driven Insights:

  • Leverage data analytics to guide product decisions and enhancements.
  • Monitor and analyze user behavior to assess the impact of microtransactions on engagement and retention.

Financial Strategy and Revenue Optimization:

  • Devise strategies to maximize revenue generation through the Smatched platform.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to establish pricing models and monetization strategies.

Regulatory Compliance and Ethical Standards:

  • Ensure that the product adheres to all legal and ethical standards related to microtransactions.
  • Stay informed about regulations and best practices within the industry.
Qualifications

Educational Qualifications:

  • A degree in Business, Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline. An advanced degree such as an MBA is a plus.

Professional Experience:

  • Significant experience in product management, ideally within the technology or online monetization sectors.
  • Demonstrated success in developing impactful products, particularly in online transactions or gaming.

Leadership Competencies:

  • Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate a diverse group of professionals.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Comprehension of the technical aspects of web and app development.
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools and methodologies.

  • Experience in market analysis, financial modeling, and revenue generation strategies.

As the Chief Product Officer at Smatched, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the startup's future, especially in light of recent funding achievements and pilot deal commitments. Your focus will be on strategic product development, innovative monetization approaches, and leading a skilled team, backed by a dedicated recruiting effort. While this role is currently unpaid as we navigate funding rounds and early revenue generation, we acknowledge the value of your contributions and are offering virtual shares that will gain significance as the company expands.

We understand the importance of a base salary and are open to initiating this partnership on a part-time, equity-based arrangement. This setup allows for mutual growth and a transition into a full-time role as our financial situation improves.
