Customs Team Leader

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Customs Team Leader (M/F/D)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead a customs team while providing both technical and managerial guidance.
  • Ensure seamless material availability in our workshops by managing customs procedures and handling all customs-related tasks, including the creation of export documentation in accordance with current customs regulations and specific country requirements.
  • Supervise the accurate execution and verification of import documentation, tax assessments, and customs paperwork, while initiating necessary amendments.
  • Organize and manage customs documentation, including proper storage and archiving practices.
  • Ensure correct tariff classifications are applied.
  • Possess knowledge of authorizations and advocate for obtaining necessary certifications (Authorized Economic Operator, Known Consignor, or Authorized Exporter AEO).
  • Provide expert support during customs audits, both for external authorities and internal stakeholders.
  • Play a pivotal role in the implementation of customs software and act as the Key User during the initial phase.

Qualifications:

  • Completed commercial training in foreign trade, logistics, or customs, or advanced education in customs matters.
  • Extensive expertise and experience in relevant tasks.
  • Service-oriented approach with a professional demeanor.
  • Strong inclination towards digitalization and a high capacity for innovation and execution.
  • Proficient in standard MS Office applications.
  • Fluent in both German and English.
  • Detail-oriented, independent, and meticulous work ethic.
