Key ResponsibilitiesThe incumbent will receive tasks from the supervisor or team leader, who will provide guidance and direction. The role involves executing standard assignments independently while addressing challenges within defined limits of authority. For unique tasks, specific instructions will be provided. The completed work will be reviewed for adequacy and compliance with guidelines.
The specialist will serve as an authority in the realm of graphic design, producing innovative visual products and services for command and training support at the theater level. Key projects include:
- Compiling information into folders or small publications.
- Creating digital prints, utilizing specialized software for graphics and printing.
- Developing customer proposals, budgeting, and advising on product options.
- Designing banners and posters for various units across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
Work involves editing and determining optimal solutions through digital manipulation and color treatment based on client specifications and deadlines. The role requires the creation of original designs, gathering necessary information (such as licensed imagery and style guides), and preparing visual information products and services. A strong understanding of system procedures and techniques is essential, along with the ability to adapt equipment for specific technical needs.
The specialist will collaborate closely with clients to clarify project requirements and will process work orders submitted through the appropriate systems. Responsibilities include reviewing requests for clarity and validity, providing cost estimates, and ensuring adherence to procedures throughout the project lifecycle. The role also involves setting up and operating automated publishing systems to produce a variety of documents and forms, making necessary adjustments as per job specifications.
As an expert on automated publishing equipment, the incumbent will assist clients in understanding the capabilities of the technology. Daily maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment will be part of the responsibilities, along with maintaining accurate records of completed work and production units for billing purposes. The specialist will ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Applicants must possess a German driver's license Class B and demonstrate proficiency in office automation skills. Language proficiency is required at B2 level in English and C1 level in German.
Experience requirements include:
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in clerical or office settings, alongside 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Additional experience may be required based on specific educational and training levels.
This is a permanent full-time position (38.5 hours/week). The role may be filled at various levels based on qualifications, with opportunities for non-competitive promotions upon meeting training requirements.
