The Alaka'ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a **Senior System Administrator IV/ SATCOM Tech Lead** to support our government customer located in Ramstein AB, Germany

Manages day-to-day performance of the site assigned contract operations and services. Participates in developing, interpreting, and implementing policies and procedures for the organization and ensures compliance with established policies and procedures.

**DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Functions with responsibility for cost, schedule, and technical performance of the site operation.
- Interfaces with government officials on diverse issues and problems and works to resolve operational issues and problems.
- Performs duties as assigned for Lead SATCOM Technician functions.
- Implements Company policies and procedures.
- Provides direction and leadership to assigned personnel to include ensuring staff is adequately trained; coordinates workloads, priorities, and schedules to ensure timely and effective completion of work; and monitors and evaluates staff performance.
- Oversees scheduling of work assignment and workloads in accordance with operational tasking and maintenance requirements.
- Provides technical oversight to systems upgrades and configuration changes.
- Oversees and coordinates research and investigations as related to customer repair issues.
- Provides guidance, technical support, and assistance relative to operating problems and projects.
- Must possess and maintain a current state issued driver’s license.
- Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

**Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands**:
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 40 pounds, kneeling, standing, and walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, and must be able to work under deadlines.

**REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION**:

- Bachelor’s degree and 3 yrs relative experience OR Associates degree or major certification and 7 years relative experience OR High School diploma and 11 years relative experience, augmented by ongoing academic/technical/military training and/or certification programs specific to the work unit hardware/software tools. 10 - 13 years’ experience in SATCOM Maintenance preferred.
- Must possess a DoD IAT Level II (or higher) Certification and obtain/maintain a role-based Microsoft certification (replaced MCSE) within 6 months of hire.
- Trained in information assurance to DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or higher.

**REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Possess basic knowledge of electronics and hands-on troubleshooting. Ability to use test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and voltmeters.
- Must be able to achieve and maintain Germany Technical Expert Status Accreditation (TESA)
- Must be self-directed and able to establish and meet project guidelines/timelines.
- Possess a good understanding and use of Microsoft Office Professional suite of software (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Possess communications skills capable of writing recommendations, reports, purchase justifications, memos, and miscellaneous documentation.
- Must possess and maintain a current state issued driver’s license.

- Must possess a Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TS security clearance.
