Strategic Development Associate/Manager

Position Summary

Wargaming is seeking a motivated Strategic Development Analyst or Associate/Manager to become part of a worldwide team of gaming professionals and contribute to key strategic projects. The successful candidate will have the flexibility to work remotely, in a hybrid model, or on-site at one of our global offices.

This role requires close collaboration with internal teams to identify, evaluate, and assess strategic prospects, including but not limited to investments, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic alliances on a global scale.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual with a background in investment banking, management consulting, mergers and acquisitions, corporate strategy, or investment analysis. A genuine interest and understanding of the gaming sector is essential. This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual to make a significant impact on the company's growth and establish themselves as a vital component of the company's strategic framework.

Key Responsibilities


• Conduct comprehensive research and analysis in the interactive gaming sector and related industries.


• Cultivate expertise in the gaming industry by assessing current and upcoming games.


• Develop and maintain a network of industry contacts with game studios and the broader gaming and investment community.


• Continuously track market dynamics and competitive trends to uncover new investment, business, and gaming opportunities.


• Assess investment, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic partnership opportunities through a variety of qualitative and quantitative analyses.


• Oversee the deal execution process from inception through due diligence, transaction finalization, and integration.


• Create detailed models, business cases, and presentations to support decision-making by senior leadership.


• Articulate recommendations to facilitate strategic choices by the executive team.

Qualifications


• Experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, venture capital, private equity, or investment banking.


• The ideal candidate is expected to have 2-4 years of relevant work experience.


• A proactive, results-driven, assertive, self-sufficient, and highly accountable individual.


• Ability to regularly communicate with headquarters and colleagues in various global locations.


• Proficient in performing qualitative analyses of complex business challenges.


• Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to effectively communicate and present ideas.


• Excellent analytical and evaluative skills.


• Proficient in Excel, financial modeling, and PowerPoint.


• High standards for quality and attention to detail.


• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work under pressure.


• A personal interest in gaming and a solid understanding of the industry.


• Experience in the gaming industry is advantageous but not mandatory.


• Willingness to travel regularly across different time zones.


• A good grasp of digital technologies.
