Job Overview

The Strategic Account Executive for the GAS region is responsible for driving sales of the complete portfolio of company products, solutions, and services within the designated market segment. This role is crucial in fostering long-term relationships with key clients and acting as the primary liaison for our key accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Cultivate, develop, and maintain enduring relationships with significant clients.

• Serve as the principal contact for key accounts, promptly addressing inquiries and concerns.

• Formulate and execute strategic account plans to meet sales objectives.

• Identify and leverage growth opportunities within key accounts.

• Conduct thorough research on targeted accounts to comprehend their needs and challenges, facilitating conversion into customers.

• Build and manage a robust sales pipeline for key accounts.

• Support the execution of the go-to-market strategy for specific territories or market segments.

• Collaborate with account sales teams and business development to enhance key account relationships and promote new solutions.

• Advocate for company products, solutions, and services.

• Lead customer negotiations, prepare tailored solutions, quotes, and tenders.

• Plan and implement innovative marketing initiatives.

• Participate in industry conferences, meetings, and events.

Essential Qualifications

• Proven experience in Strategic Account Management.

• Strong understanding of Business-to-Business (B2B) sales and partner-based business models.

• Advanced knowledge of sales operations and digital channels.

• Proficient in project and program management methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with the retail fuel market and associated technologies.

• Knowledge of forecourt equipment and its functionality.

• Understanding of retail and digital payment technologies.

Skills Required

• Fluency in German and English; native-level proficiency in German is preferred.

• Proactive mindset and positive attitude.

• Expertise in Field Sales and Account Management.

• Strong project management and implementation skills.

• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively across cultures.

• Experience with CRM systems and sales analytics tools is advantageous.

Experience

• Relevant experience in B2B technological product markets is preferred.

• Experience in an international manufacturing environment is a plus.

• Background in working with diverse, remote teams is beneficial.

Education/Certification

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Sales, Marketing, Business, or Engineering disciplines.

• Additional certifications in project sales, project management, or business development are advantageous.

The Strategic Account Executive for the GAS region will lead the implementation of market strategies, develop local initiatives to enhance sales, and establish sustainable competitive advantages while collaborating closely with the European Commercial Leadership Team. Responsibilities also include building new partnerships, representing the company at industry events, and fostering internal collaboration around sales objectives.
