Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our People & Culture team as a Principal, Employee Relations Specialist. This role will play a critical part in shaping our organization's approach to employee relations, ensuring a positive and productive work environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective employee relations strategies to mitigate risk and promote a culture of collaboration and respect.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to business leaders and HR partners on employment law, policy, and best practices.
  • Curate and deliver training programs to enhance HR partner and leader effectiveness in employee relations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders, HR partners, and other stakeholders to drive positive employee relations outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the Employment Legal team, compliance, and investigations teams to ensure a balanced approach to risk management and decision-making.
  • Prepare and present information to works councils, advising on business decisions and participating in negotiations.
Requirements
  • At least 5+ years of experience in German employment law and employee relations, ideally with an HR focus.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR or Employment Law, or a related field.
  • Fluency in English; German is a plus.
  • Proven track record of working with works councils in complex environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Structured thinking and experience in program/project management.
  • Progressive, hands-on, and customer-obsessed approach to HR.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to connect with employees at all levels.
  • Excellent communication skills to translate complex topics into clear, concise language.
