Head of Sales Analytics and Category Management

Position Summary:

We are excited to welcome a Director of Strategic Sales and Analytics to our dynamic team. This role will be based in a hybrid work environment, focusing on driving the performance and strategic direction of our product categories.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and oversee the category strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Establish clear goals and performance metrics for category success.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to create and execute effective commercial strategies.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews to assess progress and implement necessary adjustments.

Market Growth

  • Identify and pursue opportunities for market expansion and increased distribution.
  • Monitor market trends and customer insights to drive strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure teams are responsive to market dynamics and capitalize on emerging opportunities.

Category Management

  • Act as the primary advocate for the category, driving initiatives to enhance competitiveness.
  • Manage product portfolio decisions, including pricing strategies and product lifecycle management.
  • Optimize product assortment and merchandising to maximize revenue and profitability.

Financial Oversight

  • Develop and manage the category budget, including sales forecasts and promotional expenditures.
  • Analyze financial performance to identify improvement areas and implement corrective measures.
  • Drive initiatives aimed at enhancing cost efficiency and profit margins.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead collaboration efforts with various departments, including sales, marketing, supply chain, and R&D.
  • Ensure cohesive efforts across teams to achieve category objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in category management or a related commercial role.
  • Fluency in both German and English is required.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with a focus on achieving business goals.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
  • A proactive individual capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
