Senior Manager of Product Testing

As the Manager of Product Testing, you will play a vital role in the evaluation process, gathering and analyzing consumer feedback regarding fit, comfort, quality, and performance. Your insights will directly influence product development, and you will collaborate closely with the Senior Manager of Product Testing across various business units.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management and Research
- Oversee workstreams and initiatives that align with global objectives.
- Continuously challenge existing methods to enhance perception testing.
Product Testing
- Represent the Testing team during seasonal briefings with Marketing and Development.
- Determine the appropriate perception tests (e.g., fit, wear, performance) based on consumer profiles and intended use.
- Manage your workload effectively, prioritizing tasks according to established guidelines.
- Address issues that arise during the testing process and propose solutions, escalating to the Senior Manager when necessary.
- Collaborate with external IT providers to assign relevant questionnaire modules.
- Plan and execute perception tests in accordance with adidas' Testing standards and timelines.
- Analyze test results, assess risks related to claims and defective returns, and provide actionable recommendations to Development.
- Document test findings and recommendations in the appropriate systems.
- Facilitate discussions on test results with Development, Marketing, and Design during Performance Line Review Meetings.
- Contribute to the development of test standards and procedures in collaboration with Standards and Compliance experts.
- Create seasonal summary reports and overviews as needed.
- Act as the primary contact for the Operation Center Product Testing, inputting training materials and providing guidance based on audit results.
Tester Pool Management
- Proactively recruit new product testers through events and networking opportunities.
- Evaluate online applications for product testers and select suitable candidates.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of product testers within the central system.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations throughout the testing process.
Sample Management
- Order, unpack, prepare, and distribute product samples for testing.
- Organize storage of product samples in accordance with policy and legal requirements.
Device Management
- Ensure the maintenance and functionality of Testing facilities and devices.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- A strong passion for sports and in-depth knowledge of relevant categories.
- Understanding of product creation and development processes.
- Ability to work independently while fostering a collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
- Data analysis skills are advantageous.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in German is preferred for roles based in Germany.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- A degree in Sports Science or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in the footwear, apparel, or accessories industry is preferred.
