Equipment Maintenance Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY: The Maintenance Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the General Manager in overseeing the maintenance of assets within the Army Prepositioned Stocks (APS 2) project. This position involves directing and supervising technical staff engaged in the enhancement, testing, repair, modification, and rebuilding of essential Army equipment in the European theater.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Define maintenance contract requirements, organize resources, and manage the maintenance planning cycle to support the APS 2 mission. Analyze reports on APS 2 equipment to extract operational readiness data. Utilize classified IT systems, including Logistics Information Systems (LIS) and Global Combat Support System – Army (GCSS-A), for managing maintenance and logistics projects. Ensure qualified personnel are assigned to meet maintenance objectives using the appropriate tools and equipment. Safeguard and manage operations on equipment containing sensitive or classified components and associated technical data. Collaborate with Army counterparts to address evolving requirements and operational challenges. Ensure optimal use of LIS systems for documenting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance actions. Enforce adherence to technical data and management policies, applying expert knowledge of Army maintenance regulations and technical manuals. Advise on conditions that may disrupt the execution of the maintenance plan. Adjust manpower and material resources to meet daily production needs, including surges. Provide adequate supervisory coverage for each shift. Deliver timely information and reports for generating contract deliverables. Resolve issues and recommend actions for continuous improvement in service delivery. Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance actions in compliance with Army requirements. Work closely with quality control staff to assess personnel and equipment performance and recommend improvements. Initiate management actions to address new workloads or correct deficiencies. Ensure compliance with safety directives and occupational safety standards. Support property accountability in accordance with company policies.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A bachelor's degree plus 3 years of specialized experience, OR; An associate's degree plus 7 years of specialized experience, OR; A major certification plus 7 years of specialized experience, OR; 11 years of specialized experience.ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of Army logistics systems, including GCSS-Army and Unit Status Reporting (USR). Must possess citizenship and a SECRET security clearance. Strong verbal and written communication skills for conducting meetings and preparing reports. Ability to meet installation access and security requirements.
