Asset Maintenance Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY: The Asset Maintenance Supervisor plays a crucial role in supporting the General Manager by overseeing the maintenance operations of equipment at Army Prepositioned Stocks (APS 2). This position involves directing and managing technical teams responsible for the upgrade, testing, repair, modification, and rebuilding of essential Army equipment within the European theater.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborates in defining maintenance contract requirements, organizing resources, and managing the maintenance planning cycle to align with the APS 2 and Army objectives. Analyzes reports related to the APS 2 equipment set to derive operational readiness data. Utilizes classified Information Technology (IT) systems, including Logistics Information Systems (LIS) and Global Combat Support System – Army (GCSS-A), to oversee maintenance and logistics initiatives. Ensures that qualified personnel are assigned to fulfill the maintenance mission using the appropriate tools and equipment. Responsible for the safeguarding and management of equipment containing sensitive or classified components and associated technical data. Works in close collaboration with Army counterparts to address evolving requirements and operational challenges. Ensures optimal use of LIS systems for documenting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance actions. Enforces compliance with technical data and management policies, applying expert knowledge of Army maintenance regulations and technical manuals. Advises the Production Control Supervisor on conditions that may impact the execution of the maintenance plan. Adjusts manpower and material resources to meet daily production needs, including surges. Provides adequate supervisory coverage for each operational shift. Delivers timely information and reports necessary for generating APS 2 contract deliverables. Identifies issues and recommends actions for continuous improvement in service delivery. Ensures accurate documentation of maintenance actions in accordance with Army standards. Collaborates with quality control personnel to assess performance and recommend improvements in procedures, training, or supervision. Initiates management actions to address new workloads or rectify reported deficiencies. Ensures adherence to safety directives and applicable occupational safety and health standards. Supports property accountability, ensuring compliance with the property control plan.REQUIRED EDUCATION:
A bachelor's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, OR; An associate's degree plus 7 years of relevant experience, OR; A major certification plus 7 years of relevant experience, OR; 11 years of relevant experience.ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Practical knowledge of Army logistics systems, including GCSS-Army and Unit Status Reporting (USR).ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
U.S. citizenship. SECRET security clearance. Strong verbal and written communication skills for conducting meetings and preparing reports. Ability to meet installation access and security requirements.
