Monetary Policy Economist – European Central Bank

Position Overview
As an Economist, your responsibilities will include: contributing to the formulation of high-level policy documents, including speeches for Executive Board members; collaborating with colleagues and management within the Division, Directorate General, and across the ECB; assisting in the monitoring and design of monetary policy tools to enhance the transmission of monetary policy via the banking sector; aiding in the development of the team's modelling framework and utilizing it to provide policy recommendations; supporting the evaluation of monetary policy transmission in the euro area; presenting and discussing significant policy matters in ECB and Eurosystem forums.Candidate Profile

Essential: a master's degree or equivalent in economics, finance, or a related field; at least three years of professional experience (excluding internships) in preparing policy-related analytical materials; a solid understanding of the monetary policy transmission mechanism through the banking sector; experience in producing high-quality policy documents based on advanced analytical studies and models; an advanced (C1) command of English and an intermediate (B1) command of at least one other official EU language. Desired: a record of research and publications in economics, finance, or a related field. You will engage collaboratively with others, pursue team objectives, and learn from diverse perspectives. You will effectively analyze complex information and evaluate various viewpoints to arrive at solutions. You will be attuned to stakeholder needs and motivated to contribute to our team's goals while developing your skills and competencies.Working Arrangements
