About the Role
As a skilled Economist-Statistician, you will contribute to the European Central Bank's mission by working on the migration to a new IT platform for data and procedures related to producing and disseminating statistics. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with the team to ensure the quality management, compilation, and dissemination of macroeconomic statistics.
- Designing, implementing, and testing procedures for quality management, compilation, and dissemination of statistics based on recast Regulation on investment fund statistics.
- Implementing and/or enhancing seasonal adjustment procedures for price, cost, and other general economic statistics.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A master's degree or equivalent in statistics, finance, economics, or mathematics, or another relevant field.
- A minimum of three years' experience with regular statistical production, database management, time series analysis, and/or data quality assessment.
- Knowledge of statistical standards used in the compilation of macroeconomic statistics or in processes for the exchange of statistical data and metadata.
- In-depth programming skills in Python and/or R.
- An advanced command of English and an intermediate command of at least one other official language of the EU.
Desirable Skills
Experience with seasonal adjustment methods and techniques and their practical application to statistical time series is essential for the position in the Economic Statistics Section. Experience with testing IT applications and tools for data management, compilation, and dissemination is also desirable.
