Job Title: Export Control Classification Expert
Job Summary:
Vitesco Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Export Control Classification Expert to join our central Export Control team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the export control classification of items, software, and technology to ensure compliance with applicable export control and embargo regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct export control classification for goods pursuant to applicable export lists, including the German Export List and Annex I and IV of Regulation (EU) 2021/821.
- Validate classification information provided by business partners and assess the need for re-classification based on amendments to the relevant export lists or changes to the technical characteristics of Vitesco Technologies' goods.
- Review export lists related to embargo regulations to identify restricted goods and ensure that Export Control data within the ERP system is updated and reliable.
- Liaise with other stakeholders to obtain technical information as a basis for classification.
Requirements:
- University degree in a technical field.
- Several years of demonstrated classification experience in the area of export controls.
- Experience in HS classification is desirable.
- Technical affinity, structured and methodological approach, and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluent English language skills, written and spoken; German will be appreciated.
