**Job Summary:**
Vitesco Technologies is seeking an experienced Export Control Classification Expert to join our central Export Control team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the export control classification of items, software, and technology to ensure compliance with applicable export control and embargo regulations.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conduct thorough export control classification of goods pursuant to applicable export lists, including the German Export List and Annex I and IV of Regulation (EU) 2021/821.
- Validate classification information provided by business partners and assess the need for re-classification based on amendments to the relevant export lists or changes to the technical characteristics of Vitesco Technologies' goods.
- Review export lists related to embargo regulations to identify restricted goods and ensure that Export Control data within the ERP system is updated and reliable.
- Liaise with other stakeholders to obtain technical information as a basis for classification and maintain adequate recordkeeping of classification-relevant information.
**Requirements:**
- University degree in a technical field.
- Several years of demonstrated classification experience in the area of export controls.
- Experience in HS classification is desirable.
- Technical affinity and a structured, methodological approach.
- Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken; German is also appreciated.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to deal with complex and conflicting situations.
- Team player with a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion.
