Discover Finance / The Department
The Accounting Department serves as the financial backbone of Adjust. We gather, analyze, and report essential financial information, guiding our strategic decisions. Our team ensures seamless payments, client satisfaction, and effective expense management across all divisions at Adjust.
Make a Difference / The Role:
As a Senior Accounts Receivable Accountant, you will operate from our headquarters. Your role will involve close collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders globally, focusing on revenue and accounts receivable accounting, particularly the cash collection process and the preparation and analysis of month-end reports. You will empower management and other teams to make informed decisions based on the most current financial data.
Key Responsibilities /
Daily Tasks:
- Regularly monitor overdue accounts
- Reach out to overdue accounts to facilitate collections and prevent escalation to collection agencies
- Oversee the cash collection process, serving as the primary contact for collection agency managers
- Analyze customer transactions to ensure accurate revenue recognition
- Review payment agreements and service contracts for payment terms
- Make necessary adjustments, including posting debits and credits
- Assist in the design, administration, and implementation of process and control procedures, with a strong emphasis on SOX compliance
Month-End Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly revenue summaries for individual subsidiaries
- Conduct month-end reconciliations of AR accounts and prepare management reporting slides
- Consolidate revenue summaries into the Group Revenue Summary
- Post monthly bad debt expenses and revenue-related journals
- Coordinate with external auditors for statutory audits
Qualifications / Experience & Skills:
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- 5 - 7 years of experience in a Revenue or Accounts Receivable role or within a financial consultancy
- Proficient in German GAAP, US GAAP, or IFRS, along with internal controls and financial reporting
- Familiarity with traditional accounting systems; experience with Netsuite (Oracle) is advantageous
- Proficient in Google Suite and MS Excel
- Strong collaborative skills across departmental functions
- Experience in analyzing business performance and developing financial strategies within a SaaS environment is preferred
- Team-oriented with an analytical mindset and a passion for numbers
- Fluent in English and German
