Director of Financial Operations

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to oversee our accounting department. The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in business administration with a specialization in accounting or finance, complemented by substantial relevant experience.

Key Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in business administration focusing on accounting or finance, or equivalent qualifications with pertinent work experience.
  • Extensive experience in a comparable role, ideally within a globally operating organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a proven track record of team motivation and development.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles in accordance with HGB, tax regulations, consolidation practices, and the preparation of consolidated financial reports.
  • Expertise in ERP systems (preferably SAP) and proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Fluency in both German and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities and a methodical approach to work.

Responsibilities:

  • Guide, inspire, and manage the accounting team effectively.
  • Accountable for the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with HGB.
  • Ensure all accounting operations are executed in alignment with tax and legal standards.
  • Enhance and refine accounting processes and systems for improved efficiency.
  • Perform financial analyses and generate reports for senior management.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders.
