- Role: Senior Buyer (m/f/d)
- Autonomously select suppliers and negotiate quotes.
- Initiate and manage projects aimed at cost optimization.
- Negotiate and draft framework agreements and conduct annual price negotiations.
- Prepare and engage in Make-or-Buy decisions.
- Oversee commercial management and execution of outsourcing initiatives.
- Conduct procurement market research for designated material categories.
- Collaborate with R&D, Global Sourcing, and Purchasing Management to develop commodity strategies.
- Identify and cultivate strategic suppliers based on quality, delivery performance, and cost efficiency in conjunction with quality management and process engineers.
- Participate in supplier audits and site visits.
- Manage all supplier correspondence, including necessary communications in English.
- Engage in projects or subprojects within the Operations sector.
- Independently prepare and analyze key metrics as required.
- Process ECOs and maintain purchasing-related master data.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic procurement of direct materials within a manufacturing environment.
- A motivated team player with a proactive approach and intercultural awareness.
- Strong communication skills for effective internal and cross-site collaboration within a matrix organization.
- Innovative mindset for developing negotiation strategies.
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and drive results in cross-functional teams.
- Proficient negotiation skills in both German and English; additional languages are a plus.
- Comprehensive understanding of value analysis and product costing.
- Technical acumen combined with business-oriented thinking and actions.
- Experience in project management, particularly in NPDI projects, is advantageous.
- Proficient in modern IT tools, including Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.
- Exhibits strong presence, implementation capability, resilience, and adaptability.
- Willingness to travel (approximately 10%).
