Job Title: Subcontractor Manager

We are seeking a skilled Subcontractor Manager to join our team in Oberpfaffenhofen. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for implementing and executing subsystem and equipment procurement for satellites, including bus and payload subsystems and equipment, as well as ground support equipment.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Manage subcontract documents, negotiate commercial and contractual agreements, and ensure timely delivery of hardware.
  • Perform regular program and management reviews, implement competitive tendering processes, and acquire an overview of subsystem and equipment prices.
  • Understand price drivers, perform subcontractor rating, and define corrective actions.
  • Manage commercial and institutional procurements, report on status and progress, and be the focal point of contact for a procurement domain.
  • Support early program cost estimation, evaluate suppliers, and optimize internal processes.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Optics, or Opto-Electronics, or similar technical areas.
  • Several years of experience in development, manufacturing, qualification, and testing of complex systems, preferably in the space sector.
  • Extensive experience in procurement and management of complex subcontracts, legal matters, and contract negotiation processes.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English, process-oriented working discipline, high motivation, and team spirit.
  • Readiness for frequent travels inside Europe for international subcontractors.
