Security Electronics Systems Apprentice

M.C. Dean is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Security Electronics Systems Apprentice to join our team. As a Security Electronics Systems Apprentice, you will be responsible for assisting in the installation and maintenance of electrical and electronic systems, including security systems, communication systems, and other related equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the installation of electrical and electronic systems, including security systems, communication systems, and other related equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical and electronic systems.
- Test and troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
- Assist in the termination of cables and connectors.
- Mount and install devices, including door contacts, cameras, and other related equipment.
- Interpret blueprints and diagrams to determine the correct installation of electrical and electronic systems.
- Identify and troubleshoot electrical and electronic system issues.
- Assist in the testing and validation of electrical and electronic systems.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be enrolled in an accredited apprenticeship program, such as the Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) or Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) program.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must pass a background check and drug test.
- Must be able to lift at least 100 pounds and relocate a 12-foot stepladder without assistance.
- Must have good vision, including the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.
- Lifts at least 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period of time.
- Relocates a 12-foot stepladder without assistance.
- Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and all types of ladders.
- Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls, and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
The Security Electronics Systems Apprentice will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and changing priorities. The position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
The Security Electronics Systems Apprentice will be required to work at various heights, including scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and ladders. The position requires the ability to lift, push, pull, and reach overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
The Security Electronics Systems Apprentice will be required to work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, humidity, and wind.
The Security Electronics Systems Apprentice will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary, including hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots.
The Security Electronics Systems Apprentice will be required to work a standard 40-hour workweek, with occasional overtime as needed.
