Position Overview
  • In this master's thesis, you will engage in learning-based, open-vocabulary 3D scene comprehension utilizing 3D scene graphs, focusing on the incremental development and integration of these graphs.
  • Your contributions will be directed towards 3D scene graph forecasting in various domains, including architectural design, training data optimization, loss function development, model efficiency, or practical applications in real-world scenarios.
  • Additionally, you will assess your model using open-source datasets, benchmark it against leading methodologies, and showcase its performance on real-world data within an appropriate robotics framework.
  • There will also be opportunities to publish your findings in peer-reviewed conferences.
Candidate Qualifications
  • Education: Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a specialization in machine learning or deep learning and a strong academic record.
  • Experience and Skills: Proficiency in Deep Learning, Computer Vision, and/or robotics, along with strong programming capabilities, particularly in Python or C++. Familiarity with Deep Learning frameworks such as PyTorch or Jax is essential.
  • Personal Attributes: A motivated and open-minded individual, eager to explore cutting-edge topics in machine learning research, robotics, and autonomous driving applications.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in English; knowledge of German is a plus.
