Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Master Thesis researcher in the field of 3D scene representation and understanding with 3D scene graphs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of learning-based, open-vocabulary 3D scene understanding using 3D scene graphs, focusing on incremental construction and fusion of 3D scene graphs.
  • Investigate and improve 3D scene graph prediction in areas such as architecture design, training data and loss design, model efficiency, and model application in real-world environments.
  • Evaluate the performance of the developed model on open-source datasets, benchmark against state-of-the-art approaches, and demonstrate its capabilities on real-world data using a suitable robotics platform.
  • Publish the research results at peer-reviewed conferences.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field with a focus on machine learning/deep learning.
  • Strong programming skills in Python or C++ and knowledge of deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, Jax, etc.).
  • Experience in deep learning, computer vision, and/or robotics.
  • An eager to learn and open-minded personality.
  • Fluency in English; German is an advantage.
Additional Information

This is a 6-month research project. The successful candidate will be required to enroll at a university and provide a valid work and residence permit if necessary.
