The O&M H&S Specialist supports the Health & Safety Professionals at operational sites with particular focus on the IBRO European hub including Germany and France. S/he directly reports to the Principal O&M H&S Specialist.

This is to ensure Offshore Business Department’s goals, ambitions and requirements are transposed in Iberdrola Offshore portfolio namely projects and operational sites.

S/he will be in charge of supporting the Project O&M H&S resources, ensuring they achieve the targets and objectives set up at Business and Project level.

S/he provides health & safety leadership and support and draws upon his/her knowledge and experience, help drive operational sites with an emphasize on Safety Engineering and Health & Safety being typical for operational offshore sites.

The individual must ensure that the O&M activities, operational sites and O&M Work Packages in Projects have adequate Health & Safety controls in place and are implemented accordingly.

The individual may be required to provide expertise and operational perspective for health and safety in development, Construction and execution stage, during engagements such as Design Risk Assessments, HAZIDS and HAZOPS

S/he will be supporting the ISO 45001Certification process of the Business Safety Management System for Operational Sites, and will need to engage with the Site H&S Managers, Principal O&M H&S Specialist and Regional Compliance Managers.

The O&M H&S Specialist may be required to put in place additional procedures, ensure improvement processes are in place and propose changes or upgrading existing procedures.

The individual will be supported by local teams in regards to across country legislation requirements.

S/he will assure the wellbeing of his/her team and maintain a focus on Iberdrola’s greater company goals.

International travel throughout the Offshore Business Organization shall be expected to allow the person to fulfill the global role within Iberdrola Offshore Group.

**_ The job holder is required to:_**:

- Advise Engineers, Managers and Directors about issues relating to engineering safety and occupational health & safety topics making sure all aspects recognised in O&M are effectively reported to the Principal O&M H&S Specialist and Offshore Business Health and Safety Department Head
- Work closely together with Quality (product & processes) in offshore to develop an integrated management system both linked with construction and where possible O&M
- Ensure that the requirements within Iberdrola’s Health and Safety Standards are complied with
- Act as a figure head and assure audits and inspections are done to sound professional practice on Operational Sites.
- Attend site H&S meeting to support O&M H&S needs.
- Provide weekly updates of engagements and works conducted to the Principal O&M H&S Specialist
- Aid the creation of internal training materials and awareness campaigns
- Representing the O&M team either in external Industry forums where requested or internal compliance meetings, including HSE monthly meeting and site Safety Rules meetings
- In coordination with HSE corporate team, support the reinforcement of the HSE culture by ensuring communication process are in place, support communication campaigns both for back offices and sites,
- Ensure HSE support to the wider O&M team by resolution of ad-hoc queries both including providing technical HSE advice (supported by corporate HSE teams when needed) and developing specific procedures for sites supporting themselves when required in their daily activities
- Support the Business Incident Reporting Coordinator with all relevant Safety Campaigns that needs to be implemented at project level (on operational sites) derived from Incident Trends experienced within the Business.
- Identify, propose and manage where required opportunities for cross-regional efficiencies or continuity following consultation from the Principal O&M H&S Specialist.

**EDUCATION**:
Academic studies:
Specialized training in:

- S/he has undergone further education in Occupational Safety as such Dipl. NEBOSH or equivalent education

Other requirements (certifications and so forth):

- Training/courses in management would be beneficial
- Training/seminars attended in machine, plant or electrical safety or quality control

**EXPERIENCE**:

- Minimum 3-5 years offshore field experience gained preferably in offshore such as O&M, construction, wind or oil & gas
- Minimum 5 years management experience in a matrix organization on corporate level
- Offshore Substation, Wind Turbine Generator and/or Transport & Logistics in offshore wind
