Zalando’s Private Label team is looking for an experienced, commercially minded Senior Buyer (all genders) for our Circular Knit area to help us expand our assortment, existing brand positions, grow new product opportunities and brands.

**WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)**:
- You’ll work in collaboration with your Merchandising counterpart to set the strategic direction for your unit, developing this in line with the strategy of the Private Label business and Underwear Category.
- You’ll have ownership and accountability of unit’s KPIs and make strategic and trading decisions to deliver success.
- You’ll lead strategic relationships with our supplier and use your negotiation skills to deliver success for the unit and the company.
- You’ll have leadership of the buying team in your unit.
- You love product and it’s creation. You live and breath the customer and are able to delight them with new, commercial styles season after season.
**WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF**:
- You execute the commercial and creative direction of the unit together with Merchandising, and in alignment with overall business strategy. You are already responsible for defining, implementing and executing buying strategy whilst taking into account the business unit’s strategy and targets.
- You are seasoned to proactively and independently manage complex issues on operational, strategic, financial and/or human level.
- You consistently develop and maintain a cross business network to drive platform opportunities.
- You influence and initiate topline decision making using data to resolve complex problems and maximize opportunities.
- You already lead a team of direct reports and are fully responsible for their development. You recruit, mentor and develop future talent and share best practice to maximize team effectiveness. You have a proven track of record in coaching and growing a team to achieve high engagement and performance culture.
