**We seek**:

- In the Faculty IV: School of Science and Technology, Dept. ETI / Embedded Systems, we are looking for a researcher as of the 01.02.2024 at the following conditions:
- 50% = 19,92 hours
- Pay grade 13 TV-L
- limited until 28.02.2027
- The job advertisement is part of a DFG research project with the aim of developing a Compton camera for biological and medical imaging**Your tasks**:

- Development of 2d and 3d reconstruction algorithms using machine learning
- Definition of representation of the object, a physical model of the detector and a statistical model for measurements with appropriate estimation criteria
- Performance improvement using spatial/temporal subdivision of the reconstruction problem and parallelization

**Your profile**:

- University degree (Master or comparable) in the field of computer science, electrical engineering or comparable qualification
- Knowledge of VHDL, C++ and FPGA development tools
- Knowledge in machine learning
- Experience in hardware development
- Good knowledge of English (at least C1 level)
