- The Director, M&A, Technology will be responsible for M&A transactions, post-merger integration, carve-out management and business due diligence. This includes tasks along the whole M&A process, starting with the strategy, through the development of carve-out / integration concepts, to operational implementation. Therefore, the role influences the company’s future highly and has a significant impact on overall profitability.
- The Director, M&A, Technology serves as the executive/ strategic partner to senior business and IT leaders across Sandoz to globally manage all activities that are related to Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestments for a strategic M&A program. The role manages the collaboration of Sandoz Technology and senior stakeholder with regards to all elements affecting the M&A program (Carve-outs, Separation within single systems, Integrations, Project and Operations service delivery based on TSAs, Legal and People impacts).**Your responsibilities**:

- Lead diverse and geographically dispersed project teams consisting of both internal and external resources, while maintaining control of progress, quality and budget aligned with commitments for the entire lifecycle of M&A IT programs.
- Ensure delivery excellence and leadership throughout the inception of demand prioritization, across the full program lifecycle, across multiple projects of high priority, complexity and business impact providing a consistent, scalable, and robust business solution.
- Adhere to internal methodologies, processes and tools as well as to standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
- Ensure program goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives. Monitor all major program activities, ensuring the accuracy, quality and integrity of the information, while providing consistency in content and deployment standards.
- Collaborate effectively with Sandoz Technology organization providing services to the program as well as M&A, Legal and other relevant stakeholders, and partner closely with senior management to implement strategic programs to deliver improved business outcomes. Proactively consult with management and review project proposals to shape goals, time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing program.
- Plan and organize programs, allocate internal and/or external resources to accomplish project tasks aligned with time and budget commitments, while managing development of project plans, specifying goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, risks, contingency plans and allocation of available resources.
- Lead the project team members and provide thought leadership aligned with expected results and consistency of implementation approach, directing and coordinating activities of project personnel to ensure project progress on schedule and within budget
- Own project status, issues and risks through appropriate channels / tools and ensures that these are reported back to agreed program governance (e.g. Steering Committee) with focus on required actions, ownership and risk management.
- Take accountability to ensure adherence with security and compliance policies and procedures within the group program scope; take accountability for due diligence activities of potential M&A programs globally

**Minimum requirements**

**What you will bring to the role**:

- University degree or various degrees in science and/or business preferred.; fluent English, written and spoken.
- 15+ years of experience in IT, preferably in a global company and within country IT operations, 10+ years management experience within a global matrix organization, with proven track record in managing large and/or complex teams and demonstrated leaderships skills.
- Customer Orientation: ability to communicate & align with key stakeholders
- Savvy in IT process, best practices & standards (e.g. ITIL) with in-depth knowledge and experience in country IT operations
- GxP / SOX: sound knowledge of validation practice and Financial and IT control standards
- Excellent communication skills across diverse business stakeholders, ability to manage and align different groups of global experts and drive strong consensus managing demand to optimize business performance.
- Ability to cope with complexities, ambiguities and matrix organizations, with superior results across complexity.
