**Purpose of the job**:

- In the IS&T delivery model, there are a large number of global, regional and local initiatives to maintain and improve the IS&T services and solutions. For this, the Regional Business Partner (BP) DACH has a wide area of responsibilities and has to be able to follow and partially lead with his/her team projects or smaller initiatives.
- To better control the progress and partially lead local & regional projects, this role aims at controlling and/or leading the activities related to the DACH region - depending on the nature and size of the project / initiative it may be leading smaller regional projects or following up global or big initiatives in order to identify impacts, risks and opportunities for the DACH region.
- In regular intervals it will be required to report about status of the projects and initiatives to the Regional BP leadership team and proactively raise points of attention and escalation towards local & regional management or towards the corporate leadership in IS&T or central functions.
- It will also be required to coordinate or lead the early phase of initiatives from ideation to project launch, collecting business needs, use cases and business justification as well as architectural / solution constraints and opportunities.
- In smaller and regional oriented cases, certain projects can be led directly by the owner of this job and as such gain experience and networking for future roles in the ALSTOM organisation.

**Your Responsibilities**:

- Follow-up and regularly report on project & initiatives based on QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery Date)
- Proactively identify risks and opportunities in the projects & initiatives
- Identify needs for action and escalation towards site or regional management, global process owners, decision, to be executed by the Regional BP organization.
- Strive for and establish (at least DACH internally) a common reporting structure.
- Formulate and validate business needs.
- Identify key players for successful project launch.
- Define and drive tasks of individual players to come to a decision proposal.
- On demand and based on available capacity, be a project manager and lead the project to success on quality, cost, and time. Following Alstom’s Project Management Framework
- Execute Alstom standard reporting scheme for projects.

**Your Profile**
- This is an entry position for young engineers & information technology graduates.
- Attitude, communication, and coordination skills are pre-requisite, not so many years of experience (although appreciated).
- This is a regional role that will require experience in influencing change across a diverse range of IT SSC and business people.
- Coordinating and managing distributed teams is one of the prerequisites to successfully achieve the missions.
- Leadership with a practical and pragmatic approach looking for continuous improvement will be key to success, along with good communications skills.
- Degree preferably in Computer Science/Information System or Business or Engineering supported by some experience of computer systems or equivalent education and experience.
- Ability to communicate collaborate with dispersed international teams.
- Fluent in German and English, French language skills appreciated.
- Good skills: Overall IT Domain, Business Acumen, Process and Methodology, People change management.
