**The Company**
We are working on behalf of a leading solar energy company dedicated to advancing clean energy solutions. They are at the forefront of sustainable innovation. As part of their commitment to excellence, they are seeking a talented individual to join their business as the Head of Construction for their German projects.
Specialising in the advancement of utility-scale solar and wind projects. With an extensive pipeline of around 6 GW, approximately 4.0 GW of which are in an advanced or ready-to-build stage. The company operates across multiple global markets, contributing to the worldwide growth of sustainable energy.
**Position: Head of Construction - Germany**
**Location: Munich (Can be remote).**
**The Role**:
As Head of Construction, you will play a pivotal role in leading the construction activities for their solar and wind projects in Germany. With pre-construction set to begin early next year, this is a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of their projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and sustainability. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving construction excellence as they advance their technology split of 70% Solar and 30% Wind.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead and oversee construction activities for solar projects in Germany, ensuring they align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the end-to-end construction process, from project initiation to completion, emphasizing safety, quality, and sustainability.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and project management, to optimize construction timelines and outcomes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including internal teams, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
- Implement best practices in construction management, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role overseeing construction activities within the solar energy sector.
- Demonstrated success in delivering large-scale solar projects on time and within budget.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in both German and English.
- In-depth knowledge of construction regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
