- Responsible for the maintenance of the baseline and target architecture for global network services (LAN, WLAN, Firewall, WAN, DHCP, DNS, etc.)
- Analysis of current and development of a future architecture for global network services based on strategic imperatives and in close alignment with the overall Infrastructure Architect
- Responsible for development of standard infrastructure architectures for global network services and development of implementation plans (architecture roadmap for global network services)
- Develop, evaluate and improve a modern global network architecture design to achieve best-in-class quality of core capabilities in performance, reliability, safety, and privacy. Supports the global network consolidation, standardization & harmonization process
- Development of global network principles and standards for the global network of the future with a strong alignment with the other architecture teams
- The area of global network architecture covers the overall global network services, including Wide Area Network (SD-WAN), Local Area Network (LAN), Wireless LAN (WLAN), Remote Network Access, partner connectivity, Internet Breakout (Proxy, Firewall, Cloud based Security, DHCP/IPAM and DNS)
- Providing and further development of global network infrastructure design for branches also for on-premise and cloud data center
- Working in a strong alignment with the Global Security Architecture team regarding global network security policies
- Technical coaching of members from the different service delivery teams
- Audits of technical implementations from different service delivery teams
- Support DB Schenker in it's Cloud First strategy, automation & digitalization by designing & implementing leading edge technology based on a greenfield approach
**Requirements**:
**Your profile**:
- Study to university degree level
- Profound knowledge in Meraki (CISCO) network technologies (LAN / WLAN / API)
- Profound knowledge in SD-WAN, SASE, Zscaler & Firewall technologies
- Proficiency in automation and scripting of deployment and operation procedures (IaC)
- Certification in Meraki (CISCO), Zscaler and/or Palo Alto technologies
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Willingness to travel (internationally)
- The ability to work collaboratively across diverse groups of business and technical stakeholder
- Strong leadership skills, intercultural competence, global mindset, strong communication skills, solution orientation, willingness to learn and flexibility
