Your Future Role
As a Senior IT Solutions Architect specializing in Connectivity, Network Security, and Unified Communications, you will be instrumental in shaping the IT framework for RWE across its extensive network of locations. Your expertise will guide the implementation of tailored network and unified communication strategies, ensuring alignment with the Group's strategic objectives in collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and manage the IT architecture, balancing immediate business needs with long-term strategic goals and technological advancements.
  • Oversee architecture management, including approval processes for projects, documentation of architectural decisions, and the creation of a comprehensive architecture roadmap.
  • Engage in technology scouting to identify emerging trends and solutions.
  • Consult with subject matter experts to design effective solutions.
  • Assist in governance, risk management, compliance, and IT security initiatives.
  • Facilitate integration efforts beyond the immediate domain.
  • Act as a liaison between RWE business partners and stakeholders regarding architectural matters.
  • Provide insights on business cases or proposals for new projects and technologies.
  • Prototype and evaluate new technologies for potential implementation.

Your Essential Skills

  • Extensive experience in network technologies, cloud platforms (Azure & AWS), and unified communications.
  • Strong knowledge in the development and operation of cloud network services, including Zero Trust Network Access.
  • Proficient in telephony services and collaboration tools such as chat, voice, and video conferencing.
  • Solid understanding of IP address management, external DNS, and domain management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of network connectivity.
  • Analytical and organizational skills with a focus on teamwork and goal orientation.
  • Ability to comprehend complex technical and commercial contexts, coupled with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English and German, with a willingness to travel.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience with hybrid cloud networking solutions.
  • Familiarity with on-premise networking technologies.
  • Proficiency in automation tools such as Terraform, Python, and Azure DevOps.
  • Relevant cloud certifications, such as Azure Network Engineer Associate or AWS Certified Advanced Networking.
