Senior IT Infrastructure Expert (Networks)


Essential Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in network and firewall administration.
  • Knowledge in the configuration and administration of firewalls and switches (preferably Sophos, Fortinet, Cisco, DELL)
  • Experience with network protocols and technologies (e.g. TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, WAN and MPLS)
  • Ability to act as the main POC for the end-to-end solution including planning, implementation and maintenance of network and firewall solutions.
  • Business fluent in German and English


Desirable:

  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CISSP
  • Experience in Windows Server infrastructures is desirable
  • Development of architectural designs, technical specifications and integration plans.


About the role:

  • Planning, implementation and maintenance of network and firewall solutions
  • Monitoring network performance and security as well as proactive troubleshooting
  • Redesign of existing MPLS infrastructures (worldwide)
  • Carrying out network tests and analyses to identify bottlenecks and security gaps
  • Planning and execution of projects, including time management, resource allocation and budget control
  • Working closely with other international IT teams to plan and execute integrations and upgrades
  • Design and implementation of security policies and procedures
  • Documenting network configurations, security policies and procedures
  • Support other team members with network and firewall related issues
