**The Role Responsibilities**

The Head of Balance Sheet Management role is a key part of the SCB AG Finance. Finance is responsible for all financial and management reporting as well as the regulatory reporting for the Continental European countries (excl. Turkey). This includes supporting the various business heads and country CEOs and all the Group functions and business teams across our Global footprint to understand, manage and drive the business and operations within our area. The current SCB AG Balance Sheet Management function will report into the AG Treasurer and will likely be further enriched as our operations in the AG are expanded..

The incumbent will become the expert on the balance sheet, and will work closely alongside the Treasurer SCB AG with key stakeholders such as the CEOs, CFO, Business Heads and other Treasury functions with SC Group drive balance sheet strategy mainly for SCB AG

The Continental European business headquartered in SCB AG is key to connecting our footprint markets of Asia, Africa and the Middle East with the West through offering global support as the centre of excellence for product and segment teams. SCB AG’s contribution to the global revenues in our Corporate, Commercial and Institutional Banking business is already material and it is planned to growth this further significantly in the next 5 years. An efficient SCB AG as the platform is key for this ambitious growth.
- ALCO
- Being key member of AG’s Asset and Liability Committee (ALCO) meeting and supporting the Treasurer and CFO driving the agenda, preparing and presenting papers at ALCO to ensure high quality, commercial discussions and get the necessary support.
- Ensure the effective management of AG’s balance sheet, including funding, liquidity and market risks during ALCO
- Capital
- Play a key role in creating and maintaining AG’s capital and balance sheet plan and related topics
- Support the Treasurer in the responsibility for all capital related policies of AG
- Optimise AG’s capital use taken all regulatory limitations into account and finally improve Return on Tangible Equity / RWA
- Be in close contact with Group and Regional Treasury to drive AG’s capital position
- Stay in line with all regulatory KPIs and include this in all respective business decisions
- Balance Sheet and Liquidity Management
- Establish close working relationships with the Treasury Markets team, the Regulatory Reporting team within Finance and Liquidity Risk Management in Risk
- Responsible for Basel III liquidity reporting, including oversight of manual adjustments and CFO sign offs, analysis and interpretation of the results, and responding to new reporting requirements.
- Ensuring with BSM team accuracy and integrity of all balance sheet submissions made
- Lead and coordinate all balance sheet analytics across AG
- Balance Sheet Management support for businesses:

- Business partner to the businesses, providing support on monthly (or more frequent) performance reporting, budgeting and forecasting
- Developing intelligence on the balance sheets and set up a value-based performance reporting
- Leadership and organisational development:

- Contribute further to the management of Finance / Treasury, by providing leadership and insight as a senior member of the team
- Represent AG and Finance / Treasury on relevant group initiatives and projects
- Support the development of a world class Balance Sheet Management function.
- Identify gaps in the IT environment to support the capital and balance sheet planning as well as ICAAP and implement respective group or local systems to drive capital and process efficiency
- Manage and develop the team members to becoming well rounded experts in various aspects of Balance Sheet Management
- Leading a team of approximate 3 persons
- ICAAP:

- Responsible for the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) to inform the Board of the ongoing assessment of the bank's risks, how the bank intends to mitigate those risks and how much current and future capital is necessary having considered other mitigating factors.
- Drive process efficiency and continue integrating the ICAAP process into all other relevant group and AG processes
