Publishing and Media Designer

**Duties**:
- Serves as the Publishing and Media Design (PMD) Content Producer and Content Designer for Stars and Stripes, supporting 70+ revenue-generating publications, community website and social media
- Edits, produces and writes video, audio and print copy that crosses all platforms (print, web, digital platforms, newsletters, social media) in brand voice, based on creative briefs, supplied material and project objectives.
- Works closely with Revenue, Editorial, Member Services, Production and Interactive Media to provide execution and delivery of print and digital media projects.
- Maintains constant focus on branding, product offerings and benefits to the Stars and Stripes military and civilian community.
- Supports miscellaneous corporate communications as requested, including letter writing for management team, copy placement, press releases and internal employee communications.

- A one year probationary period may be required.

**Qualifications**:
- Specialized work experience directly related to the duties described above.
- Must have working knowledge of Adobe and Microsoft products. Must be able to manage multiple concurrent projects effectively and be able to work under pressure. Strong project management, time management, and organization skills. Must be able to work in a team environment. Must have excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
- HIGHLY PREFERRED: Possess a four year degree with a major emphasis in communication arts, visual communication, interactive journalism or emergent media.
- Experience with video editing software
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
