**Duties**:

- Develops marketing strategies for the remote Marketing Assistants operating in the European theater. Use social media to promote Stars and Stripes and reach new potential readers.
- Provides oversight and management of the marketing office and staff. Develops, implements, and evaluates comprehensive marketing programs to promote the Stars and Stripes brand, products, and services.
- Implements promotions and marketing campaigns that support offered programs, services, facilities, and activities. Identifies new outreach and partnership opportunities to enhance the Stars and Stripes brand and reach targeted demographics.
- Marketing events and promotions are developed and approved by higher level management. Incumbent assist with evaluations and provides feedback in business revenue meetings.
- Maintains effective communication for coordination purposes. Manages all aspects of the event/promotion including: planning, budgets, execution, and after-action reports.

- A one year probationary period may be required.

**Qualifications**:

- Related work experience that include events and promotion implementation management experience. Technical skills to effectively perform marketing and promotions using tools of the trade and social media. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Must be able to develop and make written and oral presentations of technical materials to nontechnical personnel.
- 5 Major Duties of the position are:

- 1. Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive marketing strategies and techniques to promote the Stars and Stripes brand, products, and services.
- 2. Identify new outreach and partnership opportunities to enhance the Stars and Stripes brand and reach targeted demographics. Maintains broad and comprehensive databases of demographics and commercial partners.
- 3. Develop marketing strategies for the remote Marketing Assistants operating in the European theater.
- 4. Use social media to promote Stars and Stripes and reach new potential readers.
- 5. Plan, coordinate and participate in events to spread brand awareness of Stars and Stripes and evaluates the success of outreach programs.
