Your Tasks:
The Director Marketing (m/w/d) serves as the leader for the development and operational execution of all marketing activities across the brand including Influencer and Performance Marketing, E-Commerce, CRM, Social Media, PR and Events with the goal of generating demand, increasing awareness and increasing market share in our core markets Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and ultimately increasing the presence of Kess both on
- and offline, in our core - as well as in new international markets.
- Mentor and direct influencer: performance marketing, social media/content and CRM teams to help them hit performance goals.
- Responsible for the brand strategy and evolution: manage Art Direction and E-commerce and develop campaigns and shop features to generate awareness and new customer acquisition and ensure our content best supports engagement, community growth and that Kess becomes the love brand from Berlin.
- P&L Responsibility: you will be responsible for all sales and marketing planning, setting appropriate budgets, and managing all channels based on appropriate KPIs.
- Oversee consumer marketing and media budget, investing in our most impactful channels to efficiently generate demand and achieve brand goals.
- Lead cross-functional workflow to achieve marketing goals with clear ownership, deliverables, and accountability across the organization.
- Continuously measure and improve work, formalizing reporting on key metrics; assess and drive investment in and management of the appropriate analytic tools to optimize marketing performance and revenue growth.
- Seek out partnerships & events to meet marketing objectives, delight the customer and generate buzz and excitement around the brand.
- Stakeholder Management: you are part of our executive team and work closely with Product Development, Creative Team & Operations. You will report directly to the CEO.
- Customer Focus: you will continue to develop our customer strategy to attract new customers as well as retain existing buyers and motivate them to interact and engage with the brand.

Your Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to promote Kess’ beauty products aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
- Oversee and manage the marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources across all performance marketing channels, influencer marketing, CRM, and brand campaigns.
- Collaborate with the creative team to design engaging marketing materials, including visual content, ad creatives, and promotional videos.
- Identify and establish partnerships with relevant influencers and brand ambassadors to enhance brand visibility and drive customer engagement.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential areas for growth.
- Analyze data and metrics from various marketing campaigns to measure their effectiveness and ROAS, using insights to make data-driven decisions for future initiatives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners and platforms to optimize campaign performance and negotiate favorable deals.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest marketing trends and industry best practices, incorporating innovative strategies into Kess's marketing efforts.
- Lead and mentor the marketing team, fostering a collaborative and creative environment to achieve collective goals.
- Drive customer acquisition and retention strategies, ensuring a seamless customer journey from awareness to conversion and loyalty.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development and operations, to align marketing efforts with overall company objectives.
- Monitor and maintain the brand's reputation and image across all marketing channels, ensuring consistency and brand integrity.
- Develop and implement targeted marketing campaigns to launch new products and seasonal promotions, maximizing customer interest and sales opportunities.
- Assess and optimize customer segmentation and targeting strategies to reach the most relevant audiences with personalized messaging.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for marketing campaigns and regularly report on performance to the executive team.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance Kess's marketing strategies to adapt to changing market dynamics and ensure the brand's competitive edge.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven track record of at least 10 years of experience in marketing, with a significant portion of that in leadership roles.
- Extensive experience in digital marketing, D2C, and e-commerce, specifically with a focus on performance and influencer marketing.
