- Wir bieten für das WS 2023/24 eine Masterarbeit zum Thema „Interactive Guidance for Navigated Spinal Surgery“ an.
- Du hast die Möglichkeit, Prototypen für unser chirurgisches Navigationssystem zu entwickeln und unser Team mit deiner Proof-of-Concept Applikation zu unterstützen.
- Du bist ein aktives Mitglied in unserem internationalen und interdisziplinären Research & Development Team.
- Du implementierst deine Lösung mit C++ oder Python und Matlab und evaluierst sie in einem Eco-System bestehend aus State-of-the-Art Navigations
- und Bildgebungssystem.
- Du kannst dabei unter anderem neueste Technologien aus den Bereichen Machine Vision, Computergrafik, Human-Computer-Interaction und interaktive Systeme kennenlernen und anwenden.
- Du führst eigenständig Recherchen im OP-Umfeld durch, um herauszufinden, wie innovative Ideen wertschöpfend anzuwenden sind.

**Das zeichnet Dich aus**
- Du studierst Informatik, Medizintechnik oder einen vergleichbaren Studiengang im Masterstudium.
- Du hast Erfahrung mit objektorientierten Programmiersprachen und Bibliotheken/Frameworks wie Qt, OpenCV, Unity oder VTK gesammelt.
- Du besitzt ein gutes mathematisches Verständnis.
- Du möchtest dich mit anspruchsvollen Aufgaben im Bereich der Medizintechnik auseinandersetzen.
- Du bist unter Freunden und Studienkollegen für Eigeninitiative und Flexibilität bekannt.
- Du verfügst über gute Englischkenntnisse.
- Eine eigenständige Arbeitsweise, ein hohes Maß an Motivation und Engagement sowie die Bereitschaft schnell Verantwortung zu übernehmen zeichnen Dich aus.

- We offer a master thesis on the topic "Interactive Guidance for Navigated Spinal Surgery" for Winter Semester 2023/24.
- You are an active member of our international and interdisciplinary Research & Development team.
- You will contribute to our state-of-the-art navigation and imaging system by using C++, Python and/or Matlab and implementing your solutions.
- You will independently conduct research in the field of surgery and find out how innovative ideas can be applied in a value-adding way.

**What makes you stand out**
- You are studying computer science, medical technology or a comparable course in your master's degree.
- You have gained experience with object-oriented programming languages and libraries/frameworks such as Qt, OpenCV, Unity or VTK.
- You have a good understanding of mathematics.
