**Role Summary**:
The Global Director, Total Rewards is responsible for the design, implementation and ongoing evaluation of the organization’s compensation and benefits programs, including base pay, incentive pay, health and wellbeing benefits. This position works with the VP, Talent & Total Rewards to ensure compensation and benefits programs support the organization’s business objectives and meet all legal requirements in regions/countries Magna operates globally.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Maintain & evaluate ongoing the total compensation philosophy, e.g. job grades, base salaries, variable pay, incentive programs & perquisites in compliance with local requirements (excluding executive compensation)
- Responsible for global salary reviews to maintain Magna’s competitive positioning in the market to attract and retain talent
- Responsible for the governance of Magna’s Global Job Catalogue & Levelling Framework
- Lead the annual Pay Equity review, where applicable, ensuring that Magna’s compensation practices and programs meet Pay Equity legislative compliance
- Review & monitor the effectiveness of existing benefits programs, recommending plan revisions that are aligned with Magna’s strategic direction
- Develop budgets/policies/procedures to ensure that the compensation and benefit programs are financially sound and sustainable
- Oversee the global Benefit Programs applicable within each region/country with accountabilities for program and vendor management, cost analysis, annual renewal, open enrolment, regulatory filing and compliance, and communication
- Manage global vendor relationships including monitoring service agreements, contract negotiations and renewals
- Monitor effectiveness of policies & vendors in support of Magna’s global mobility practices, revise as needed
- Day to day team management

**Key Qualifications/Requirements**:

- University degree in related field
- Minimum of 10 years of work-related experience in total rewards including global compensation design and benefit program management
- Minimum of 5 years of people management
- Experience with enterprise HCM systems, preferably Workday
- Strong background and knowledge of job evaluation and global levelling frameworks
- Expert knowledge of North America & Europe benefit offerings. Familiarity with Asia benefits is also preferred

- Demonstrated experience in a large, global, matrixed organization
