**The Director Sales (f/m/d) for Vestas’ sales team Germany South East will be a strategic and inspirational leader looking to develop, coach and motivate our own teams whilst creating and expanding strategic partnerships with our important customers located in South East Germany. Vestas NCE Sales Central is responsible for all wind turbine sales related activities in its region, from early engagement with our customers, through bidding and negotiation until hand-over to construction upon a successful closure of a contract. The Sales Central team consists of a diverse group of skilled and motivated colleagues covering Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Benelux region. Together with the Region Germany South East, we have 5 Sales regions with offices in Berlin, Hamburg, Rheine, Husum, Arnhem and Vienna. Our regional Sales teams are formed by Sales Managers, who take the commercial and relationship lead with our customers and in negotiations and by Commercial Engineers, who are responsible for costing and the internal project management of a deal during the Sales phase. The entire team of Sales Germany South East and the position of the Director Sales is based in Berlin.

**Responsibilities**
- As Director Sales Germany South East (f/m/d) you are responsible for meeting and exceeding our annual order intake forecast on multiple KPI dimensions. You are overall responsible for implementing Vestas’ profitable growth strategy by handling our German sales portfolio from customers based in South and East Germany.
- You are the people manager for our fantastic Germany South East Sales team. You will guide and develop around 10 Sales Managers and Commercial Engineers. You are a role model to our commercial community and share the same Vestas values, i.e. accountability, passion, collaboration & simplicity.
- You define and implement the Vestas strategy for your region in the context of our global and regional strategy house.
- You build long-term relationships with our customers and form meaningful, strategic partnerships with our most important customers in the region. You act as escalation point to support our Sales Managers. You present large key deals to our Executive Management.
- Together with our Sales Directors from Germany, Austria, and Benelux, you are part of our Sales Central Management team. As a Commercial Leader at Vestas, you take ownership in cross-regional and cross-functional strategies and align priorities with other senior leaders at Vestas.

**Qualifications**
- 8 years of professional experience. Proven commercial and leadership experience - ideally from renewables, CAPEX intensive B2B business, consulting, or asset management
- Battle-proven commercial experience working on complex negotiations of large projects / contracts. You can create win-win scenarios when things get stuck. You can articulate consequences from a commercial and contractual point of view
- Ability to present the most complex information professionally and convincingly to ensure high perception, acceptance, and alignment. Good PowerPoint skills required
- You have the curiosity and the capacity to deep dive into our customers’ financial models / business models and can combine this with Vestas value proposition. Solid Excel skills required
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering or equivalent
- Fluent German and English is mandatory
