SciNova are excited to be partnered alongside an organisation who are at the forefront of drug development technology, pioneering ground-breaking solutions that drive scientific discovery and industry advancements. This is a senior level appointment where you will be responsible for developing new applications for my customers product portfolio and expanding their scientific scope. You will be well versed in either mRNA or vaccine research/development.


Role responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive R&D strategy aligned with company goals and market demands, focusing predominantly on application development and researching new, innovative ways for customers to use my clients product portfolio.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of scientists and researchers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Manage multiple R&D projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, budgetary targets, and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports, scientific publications, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Regularly attend conferences and exhibitions when needed, internationally.


Role requirements:

  • PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field with a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience in the Biopharmaceutical or Biotech industry.
  • Extensive leadership experience, ideally an international group of varying cultures.
  • Excellent scientific track record - You will be a highly accomplished scientist with multiple publications.
  • You will possess a background in mRNA, protein work or vaccine production.
  • Proven expertise in protein purification techniques, including affinity chromatography, size exclusion chromatography, and ion exchange chromatography.
  • Showcase an ability to work under pressure in an ever-changing scale-up environment.
  • Fluent English is a must with German highly appreciated.
