Research and Development Product Manager

A deep-tech R&D team of SoftServe that applies expertise in Advanced AI and High-Performance Computing, Hardware Acceleration, Life Science, Quantum Computing, Human-Computer Interaction, and Technology Commercialization to cross-disciplinary research. We create deep technologies both in-house and as a service for world-leading R&D customers, run multiple technology and academic partnerships, and expose our research at global events and conferences.


As R&D Product Manager, you will collaborate closely with researchers, engineers, customers, and leadership to bring deep technologies out from the lab and into the market from early concepts and idea validations to pilots and scaling with customers.


YOU ARE

  • A Bachelor (Master/Ph.D. preferred) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Bioinformatics, Physics, Life Science or similar domain. MBA or Innovation management degree is a plus point
  • Having 2+ years of Technical Product Management or Product Marketing experience (i.e. creating strategic product roadmap(s) from conception to launch and working with cross-functional teams)
  • Confident in driving the product vision, go-to-market strategy, and design discussions
  • Showing customer-facing experience translating technical concepts and solutions to non-technical and executive audiences
  • Holding understanding of R&D and lean startup principles
  • Able to collaborate, build consensus, deliver, and drive technical decisions with various sized customer stakeholder groups
  • Successful in technical leadership, project management, analytical problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong in business acumen in (one of) Energy, Life Science, Pharma, Healthcare or Retail
  • Ready for traveling to meet with specific partners and client stakeholders
  • Having hands-on technical experience and a deep understanding of Generative AI, AI/ML, HPC, bioinformatics, or a similar field is a plus point

  • Market research and customer discovery to identify market needs and validate product-market fit
  • Strategic development of the product roadmap, prioritizing features and coordinating with engineering teams
  • Reviewing relevant research publications or documentation and cooperating with senior researchers to understand scope, expectations, and risks
  • Clients/prospects, sales, and marketing hand-in-hand to commercialize developed technology, products, and service offerings
  • Participation in pre-sales and client engagements to develop a technology innovation strategy and execution roadmap for deep tech products

  • Work with world-leading clients and partners as a part of the multinational research team
  • You will lead implementation and commercialization of innovative products involving deep technologies. From defining and own product roadmap from initial idea validation and customer development to its implementation and positioning on the market.
