Senior Product Development Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Lead PVC Product Development Engineer to join our team at the VELUX Group. As a key member of our PVC Product Development Team, you will be responsible for leading the development of innovative PVC products that meet the highest standards of quality, sustainability, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of PVC products from concept to launch, ensuring that they meet the company's quality, sustainability, and customer satisfaction standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and sales, to ensure that PVC products meet customer needs and market requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and partners to ensure the availability of high-quality PVC materials and components.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for PVC product development.
  • Develop and implement product development strategies that align with the company's business objectives and goals.
  • Manage and mentor junior engineers and technicians to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in PVC product development, with a strong background in extrusion processes.
  • Proven track record of leading product development teams and delivering successful product launches.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical data and make informed decisions.
  • Fluency in English and German, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
