Laboratory Team Leader

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated laboratory team lead to oversee the daily operations of our laboratory within the paper manufacturing mill. You will look after end to end operation of our lab and conclude the final release decisions for complex cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory management and quality control of raw materials.

This role is crucial in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.


Role and responsibilities


Supervision and Management:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols
  • Manage and mentor laboratory staff, providing training and development opportunities

Quality Control and Assurance:

  • Conduct regular inspections and tests on raw materials, and in-process products, to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and protocols
  • Analyze test data and prepare detailed reports on findings

Technical Support:

  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues


Required Qualifications

  • You have training as a chemical laboratory technician, or a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, analytical chemistry, paper science, or a related field
  • You are well experienced in a laboratory setting, preferably within the paper or chemical industry
  • You possess a strong understanding of quality control procedures and regulatory standards
  • You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • You show strong communication skills and will manage stakeholders with various seniority
  • You pay attention to detail and are committed to maintaining high standards of quality
  • You have a good command of the German language
