Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Production Operations Manager to lead our production team in the development and implementation of innovative sustainable packaging solutions. The successful candidate will have a strong background in converting, paper making, or chemistry, and will be responsible for overseeing daily coating and converting operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production operations, ensuring efficient and safe production processes.
- Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to meet production targets and reduce downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Several years of proven experience in manufacturing or production management, preferably in the converting, packaging, or paper industry.
- Strong hands-on mentality with the ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues.
- Technical understanding of machinery and production processes, as well as analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in German is required; very good level in English.
