Lead the Way in Sustainable Packaging Innovation
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee the daily operations of our pioneering barrier coating machine, producing innovative high-barrier papers for recyclable packaging solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure efficient, high-quality, and safe coating and converting operations.
- Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Guide and train operators, create development opportunities, and build a culture of trust and engagement.
- Implement and monitor operational strategies to meet production targets and reduce downtime.
- Collaborate with R&D to conduct trials of new products.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and maintenance to ensure smooth operations.
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in manufacturing or production management, preferably in converting, packaging, or paper.
- Strong hands-on mentality with troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Technical understanding of machinery and production processes, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in organizing a quality-testing laboratory.
- Basic knowledge of wastewater treatment.
- Proficiency in German and very good level in English.
