About the Role
Our client holds a prominent position in propelling the energy transition in Germany forward. Thus, we are seeking an enthusiastic Quality Manager to join their team. You will manage the quality of work processes for several projects critical to multiple large HVDC grid connections.
Key Responsibilites
- Lead meticulous quality verifications on projects, assessing compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) requirements through a risk-based approach.
- Establish project-specific quality processes and procedures based on industry standards.
- Maintain continuous and active collaboration with the Project Management Office (PMO) and Program Office, staying attuned to their developments, vision, and strategies.
- Contribute to the creation and enhancement of quality standards, including requirements, tools, and processes, for programs and projects (participate in PM Toolbox development) and support the evolution of the quality management system.
- Implement QM standards and tools as developed by the PMO, ensuring seamless integration.
- Plan, prepare, execute, and follow up on quality and project management audits at the contractor's site on behalf of the organization.
- Organize Lessons Learned workshops, documenting outcomes in the lessons learned register.
- Develop and facilitate internal training sessions on quality and project management topics.
- Incorporate the basic principles of systems engineering into the quality management approach.
- Facilitate internal validation sessions with end-users through the internal handover process (TERRA).
- Assist in establishing an audit program for the Project Management Office (PMO) and contribute to executing these audits.
Your Profile
- Preferably possess a Master's degree in a relevant field and specialized training in Quality Management and Project Management, or hold a comparable qualification.
- Proven experience as a hands-on Quality Manager; experience as a lead auditor is advantageous.
- Self-starter with strong collaborative skills.
- Capable of working alongside quality control functions across various sites.
- Experience in setting up and implementing a Quality Management System (QMS).
- Familiarity with large and intricate construction projects, from initiation to the construction phase.
- Knowledgeable in FIDIC contract types.
- Proficient in systematic contract control (risk-based approach) and its application in projects.
- Previous exposure to an international work environment.
- Ability to influence and facilitate the development and implementation of goals, objectives, and plans.
- Effective communication skills with contractors, internally within the organization, and among project teams; adept at building bridges and persuading stakeholders.
- Strong leadership qualities and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in English and German is essential.
